Failing brick and insulation above a covered entry at a Canada Post facility in Saskatchewan was removed, the substrate corrected, and the facade rebuilt to match the original construction.

Scope

  • Peel-back and removal of roof cap flashing and parapet for access
  • Careful removal of brick, saved for reuse, with new brick to match where broken
  • Replacement of damaged rigid insulation to match existing thickness
  • New masonry ties connecting reinstated brick to the backing wall
  • Hoarding and protection for facility staff
  • Reinstated facade plumb and straight to the steel lintel, then painted to match
